Futons
Our pride and joy!!
For 21 years, we have been making some of our futons, the old fashioned way, by hand. It is the only way we have found that offers our customers consistent quality, assurance and reliability that endures. As for comfort, feeling is believing, and that you must feel for yourself. There is such a wide range of styles and combinations. Here are a few of our most common types of futons that we offer.
View the following categories:
Contemporary Futons
These futons are the most varied in their individual construction, offering the widest range of components. They can consist of any number of the following components and in many varying percentages. These machine tufted futons are made for us by a local mattresses maker. The components can be cotton, polyester of several forms, wool, poly-cotton, foam, Latex, Visco-elastic and even springs.
Custom Futons
Since several of our futons are proprietary, and because we cut, sew and tuft our own futons, we have the ability to offer custom-made futons in all shapes, sizes, materials and construction.
Innerspring futons
In 1995, we began experimenting with adding a spring core to several of our futon models. Today, with the advent of newer technology not only have spring-core futons improved tremendously they no longer need to be flipped, merely rotated.
Foam Futons
Visco Elastic Futons
Also know as memory foam, Elastic Futons have seen a recent resurgence in popularity. These can consist of anywhere from an inch to several inches of memory foam to an all Visco-foam futon of eight inches. These futons have a unique feel that comes from its unique ability to soften under pressure and temperature as we use them.
Latex Futons
These futons range from being an all-latex foam futon, usually around six inches, to futons that utilize a center core of latex foam varying between three to six inches.
Organic Futons
An organic futon can have all of its components certified organic (including its casing), or some organic components combined with other components, such as a spring core and/or latex foam.
Traditional Futons
A traditional Japanese futon is usually all cotton or a combination of cotton and wool. The sizes range from two and five inches in height. They are replicas of those traditionally used in Japan.
